Evreux
Golf
d'Evreux - Known as one of the most difficult courses in Normandy,
the 18 holes of Evreux have been mapped out on hilly terrain and measure
6,948 yards from the back-tees (par 72). Designed by the French architect
Jean-Pascal Foures, the course is notable for its tough par 3s, including
a 219 yarder to an island green, and a 656 yard long par 5! The impressive
golf complex also includes a driving range with 20 outdoor and 11 indoor
bays and a bar/restaurant. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,948 yds. Parkland.
Golf du Vaudreuil - Vaudreuil is conveniently located just south of Rouen and is a well matured woodland layout. Designed by Fred Hawtree in 1961, the fairways wind through magnificent, carefully preserved parkland and a great variety of trees making accuracy off the tee essential. Furthermore, at 6,784 yards, it isn't the shortest of courses and provides a very good test of golf. Most visitors to Vaudreuil are left with fond memories of the clubhouse; a former thatched barn, it is renowned as one of the most beautiful and very best in France and is very comfortably furnished with a good restaurant. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,784 yds. Woodland.
Golf Club du Champ de Bataille - Located 28km north west of Evreux, within the estate of the Chateau du Champ de Bataille, this 6,507 yards par 72 layout is not on the short side. The course is delightfully carved out of mature trees with the occasional strategically placed water hazard and is renowned for being in good condition with excellent greens and fairways. One of the most beautiful and difficult courses Normandy has to offer, it becomes filled with blooming rhododendrons in late spring and is a truly wonderful sight. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,507 yds. Woodland.
