Skiing in Courchevel, France

Courchevel is found in the world renowned "3 Valleys" or "Trois Vallee". The ski area encompasses the resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens and offers a huge variety of skiing on widely differing terrain. The Three Valleys skiing includes over 600 kilometres of pisted runs and reputedly one of the most efficient ski lift systems ever built with some of the best groomed slopes in Europe.

Courchevel itself is split into 5 different areas. The higher areas are named after the height (in metres) at which they are based, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850 and the 2 lower areas are Le Praz and La Tania (both at 1300m).
